It's a Girl: Rosie!
Though spring is on its way, it is still a bit chilly here in Potter County. To make sure Rosie stays nice and warm in her calf hutch, we put a quilted blanket on her. She has it on in her picture. Thank you to everyone that submitted a name suggestion. "Rosie" was the most popular suggestion. Truly, great minds think a like! |
Ruby calved Tuesday, March 15 with a beautiful, healthy baby girl. Mark woke up in the middle of the night to check on Ruby but there was no sign of labor yet. By the time Mark and Melanie arrived at the barn for milking, Rosie was already nursing from her mommy. Rosie has a tremendous appetite.
